Welcome to the LAFTAs!
Thank you to everyone who sent in their film clips for the Languages and Film Talent Awards (LAFTAs). The deadline for this year’s competition has now passed, giving us a fantastic total of over 160 entries!
We have received some wacky and wonderful film clips from young people all around the UK, showing us why we need languages: from being lost in a foreign country, to meeting the love of your life, to being attacked by sharks, cannibals or dragons! You can view all the entries on our Youtube page.
The LAFTAs’ celebrity judging panel have now cast their votes and we will be announcing the winners at the LAFTAs awards ceremony in September, where we will be handing out a fantastic range of prizes.
If you haven’t taken part yet this year, you can still get involved. Multilingual Vacancies are hosting a People’s Vote, giving you the chance to vote for your favourite lists from the LAFTAs shortlist. The winner of the People’s Vote will receive a special prize sponsored by Multilingual Vacancies at the LAFTAs awards ceremony.
